Pelvic Floor Therapy
If your child struggles with
bedwetting, constipation,
encopresis, over/under-active bladder, working on the pelvic floor can really help. Pelvic floor training provides an opportunity to gain fluency in their body’s needs, and helps them understand their body’s signals, while also strengthening their core. Many children have pelvic floor issues and suffer from accidents, constipation, bed-wetting, and potty-training issues. This can be caused by the pelvic floor muscles being too weak, too tight, or too active.
Physical Therapy
My goal is to create independence and safety in body movement. I treat children with movement disorders, coordination dysfunction and generalized motor delays. Whether these issues are part of a genetic syndrome or stand alone. I also work with infants struggling with torticollis, plagiocephaly, low tone and developmental delays. I tailor the treatment plan to address your family and child’s specific goals and needs. I believe that creating a warm relationship with your child will allow them to move outside of their comfort zone and grow.
Aquatic Therapy
Aquatic therapy uses the
benefits of water to teach and enhance skills that a child learns on land, such as walking, running, stair negotiation, balance and coordination. The goal of aquatic therapy is to increase a child’s independence, confidence and efficacy in completing daily tasks. The warm, fun, relaxing pool provides an atmosphere where the child can move freely in ways that are often difficult on land. Additionally, The warm water environment is an excellent way to work
on tone reduction and
strengthening.
